2016 JACK BENNETT AWARD
HOUSTON, TX -- Stillman’s Donte Jackson is the recipient of the 2016 Jack Bennett Award, after leading Stillman to its’ first SIAC title in ten years.
In just his second season, Jackson led Stillman to one of the best seasons in school history. With a 27-6 record, an 18-game winning streak, SIAC Player of the Year, SIAC Newcomer of the Year, SIAC Coach of the Year, and SIAC Tournament Champions, this Tigers team is the most decorated in Stillman history.
The Jack Bennett Award, which represents winning with integrity, is named in honor of former head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Bennett won five Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles, made five NCAA tournament appearances and won two national championships. He’s the program’s all-time winningest coach with a 200-56 record. In 34 seasons as head coach he compiled a record of 480-175.
